Republican fundraising is much stronger than Democrats this election cycle. The fundraising advantage is apparent in open seats for the House and Senate. Currently, there are 42 House seats and 14 Senate seats that do not have an incumbent running for re-election. Republicans are also showing strength in the most competitive districts.
