Democratic Senator Carl Levin announced that he would not run for reelection. The Michigan Democrat is in his sixth term as a United States Senator. Democrats that may run for the Senate seat are Congressman Gary Peters and Congressman Dan Kildee. Republican candidates may include Congressman Dave Camp and Congressman Mike Rogers. The 2014 Michigan Senate race is expected to be a close contest.
